The composting technologies
offered by Conporec result from over 15 years of research and development
efforts. These proven technologies are designed to treat municipal
solid waste (MSW) as well as various types of organic wastes such
as:
- Source separated organics (SSO)
- Residential, commercial and institutional
food waste
- Yard waste, green waste
- Manures and animal litters
- Biosolids and bioliquids
- Pulp and paper industry sludge
- Agri-business industry sludge
Conporec implements projects based on
the following 3 business models:
Build,
Own and Operate - BOO. Conporec owns and operates the facility
under a long term agreement. The financing of the plant can i) be
the sole responsibility of Conporec, ii) through a joint venture
company with an investing partner,
or iii) through a private-public partnership (PPP).
Build,
Own, Operate and Transfer - BOOT. BOOT project are identical
to BOO projects except that the facility will be transferred back
by Conporec at a pre-determined date. Under a BOOT project, the
financing of the plant can also be the sole responsibility of Conporec
or may be shared with other entities.
Turnkey.
Under turnkey projects, Conporec’s responsibilities will be
to perform the design, procurement and construction management on
behalf of a Client. Under this model, clients take over the financing
as well as the operation and maintenance of the facility.
